She was born on August 1, 1986 in Port Au Prince, Haiti and raised in Boston, Massachusetts.
Considering her Haitian roots she was always surrounded with music all genres of music from Zouk, to Salsa to Country to Rap. Great musical influences by Cee-Lo Green, Jazmine Sullivan, Lauryn Hill, Mary J. Blige, Erykah Badu, and Melanie Fiona.

As a child her talent was noticed and her parents enrolled her into the Handel and Hayden Society, an after school program that is known for their Classical and Opera training. Witnessing her natural musical talent, JP was recruited by the New England Conservatory and starred in operatic plays with the Gilbert and Sullivan Production Company.

She is an artist that brings back fun memories, where no special dance moves are needed to fit in, and a sincere presentation of self something music industry desperately needs. “JPLovesIt” will prove that it is time to stop taking advantage of music and respect the art as one that celebrates us, as a people.
